Jar Test Results Analyser and Converter


When you perform your "Jar Test" the readings are "inches" not "percents". The Soil Triangle Chart (below) requires that you know the percentage of each type soil particle. To learn about performing the Jar Test click here:


This handy "Converter" will take your results in inches (and tenths) and provide not only the percentage of each particle, but the final SOIL COMPOSITION result (the same result as the chart!). You can then use this "Type of Soil" description to select your soil type in the Garden Calculator.
